Principal's Letter...
Dear Dartmouth Parents/Guardians and Students,
I am Mrs. Denise Sunderland and I am excited and honored to have the privilege to serve the students, staff, and community of Dartmouth Middle School as the new principal.
I have found the staff and community at DMS to be very supportive and close knit! My admin team and I are committed to work hard to ensure that our students will cherish the memories they make during their time as a Knight and gain the skills they need to be successful in school and beyond.
A little about me, I grew up in Chino, CA and moved to Hemet in 2022. I am married and have one son. My son is married to my wonderful daughter-in-law. I enjoy riding bikes, sight-seeing and taking our little dog on walks. You will probably see me around, so be sure to say “hello”.
Professionally, I have been dedicated to the field of education for close to 30 years. I believe that students should be at the center of all school-related decisions and will use that belief to guide my decision- making. I have worked with students ranging in age from 1st through 8th grade. I have been an elementary and junior high teacher, an Instructional Coach, an Assistant Principal, and Principal. This will be my 11th year in the role of principal.
