Hemet, January 14, 2025: The Governing Board of the Hemet Unified School District, on nomination by
Trustee Mr. Ross Valenzuela, has selected Mr. Adriane Ambriz, teacher at Dartmouth Middle School, as the
January 2025, recipient of the Governing Board Recognition and Award.
Adriane Ambriz is an outstanding band director at Dartmouth MS. He began working in Hemet Unified
School District in 2018. He has served as the Band Director at Dartmouth Middle School for seven years.
During his tenure at Dartmouth, he has successfully expanded the band program to include over 100
students, fostering a love for music among diverse learners.
Mr. Ambriz builds meaningful connections with students by understanding and relating to their
backgrounds and experiences. He consistently demonstrates a strong commitment to student growth
by creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment. He Serves as a dedicated team player,
contributing to school-wide initiatives and supporting campus culture. Mr. Ambriz actively collaborates
with content area teachers across the district to support interdisciplinary learning.
Outside of Dartmouth, Mr. Ambriz coordinates the Middle School Honor Band program for HUSD and is
currently a CTI induction mentor for HUSD. He is goal-oriented and driven to continuously improve all
band programs and student success across HUSD. He is known for being hardworking, dependable,
and passionate about music education which is why he is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Music
Education at Liberty University, with an anticipated completion in May 2025.
Mr. Ambriz’s dedication to the students and music programs at Dartmouth have made him an
invaluable member of the Knight team. We know that Mr. Ambriz’s commitment to inspiring students
to develop personal discipline, teamwork, and creativity through music performance and education
will be forever a legacy for the students at Dartmouth.

$500 certificate for the District program of her choice.
