hi there my name is Kristen Anderson and I am proud to be the Principal here at Dartmouth Middle School Welcome to our second round table talk visit is in more about what's been going on here at school and what you can expect to hear at home we have an awesome first month of school we started out with her that was so fun because what we did and we importance of hard work making friends and enjoying your time here in Middle School super fun relay we're going all around our school taking pictures doing scavenger hunts engaging in some fun outdoor activities some pictures and see what happened it's really really great event Patriots Day remembrance on September 11th on the blacktop well we were able to honor our veterans are First Responders and those who we have lost in the line of duty with having an amazing fly over from our March Air Force Base airplane it was quite a moment and it was really something to be proud of I wanted to talk to you about what you can do at home what is the things that they have in their routine is there added binder should be organized by subject and they should also have a planner tonight when your child comes home after see what's in their planner earnings are they checking to see what's in there this is great information for you as a parent someone other than their teachers are looking at this pointer great life most of us use our planners ourselves origin computers to keep an organized if you're looking to support at home I wanted to share the first one is a resource from our new math curriculum called Big Ideas Math resources great because it will actually get used very different and can be very complex especially middle school so I urge you to take a look at that website you can find it linked or on our website as well, and again it's for Big Ideas should I wanted to share with you and Parenting teenagers questions about social media resources for parents teaching in our social programs we have repair teacher conferences coming up in case you haven't heard we will have an open house from 4 to 7 library teacher set up in tables of your child's teacher if your child is getting a d or an F in highly urge you to attend this great time to talk to the teacher and see what's going on sometimes we're having a conversation regarding the how long is work completion might take I ordered you to come and it will be a great experience for a parent teacher conference on October 4th thank you so much for supporting us here at Dartmouth middle school and have an amazing day
