School Phone/Text (Google Voice):

I believe that education is most effective when there is an active partnership between the students, parents, and the school.  I encourage regular communication and discussion through updates made on this website, posting of grades on A
eries, and communication with home via e-mail correspondences, phone conversations, and parent/student/teacher meetings.  Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions, comments, or concerns.

***Please note I do not check-back on the links posted to my website regularly and do not manage them. I do not take responsibility for what is on them so a parent or guardian must be present when accessing these sites. Although I do review the site prior to posting them on my website, I do not continue to check back on a consistent basis for appropriate content***
"I believe that when the teacher's role is to guide, providing access to information rather than acting as the primary source of information, the students' search for knowledge is met as they learn to find answers to their questions. For students to construct knowledge, they need the opportunity to discover for themselves and practice skills in authentic situations. Providing students access to hands-on activities and allowing adequate time and space to use materials that reinforce the standards within the lesson being studied, creates an opportunity for individual discovery and construction of knowledge to occur." ~Unkown

Here are some more quotes, or revised phrases that I have come across that can provide some insight to who I am and the beliefs that are embedded within me that have led me to my passion of teaching....and the overall inspiration for the goals of this class:

  • You don't want to be negative to the point where you spoil the enjoyment of the event for others ~ Ron Clark
  • Teachers teach more by what they are than by what they say. ~unkown
  • If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn.~Ignacio Estrada
  • Real integrity is doing the right thing, knowing that nobody’s going to know whether you did it or not. – Oprah Winfrey
  • Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck. – Dalai Lama
  • Shallow men believe in luck. Strong men believe in cause and effect. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
  • Action may not always bring happiness, but there is no happiness without action.
           - Benjamin Disraeli
  • Well done is better than well said.
           - Benjamin Franklin
